Are your hard-boiled egg yolks too green? Well, they are overcooked. How about a dark yellow? Then they are undercooked. Want to do it perfect? It is perfectly easy.
I'm pretty sure I learned this from Southern Living so don't be thinking I'm all genius.
How to Perfectly Hard Boil an Egg*
*My apologies to Scott in case you are a vegan
- Put your eggs in a pan that you have a cover for. Cover eggs with water an inch over the tops of the eggs.
- Put your burner on high. When the water begins to boil, remove eggs from heat, and cover with the pan's lid. Set your timer for 12 minutes
- Now pay attention - this is where perfection comes in. When your timer goes off, empty the water from the pan, put cold water on top and let eggs soak in the cold water for a few minutes.
- Crack and peel your eggs starting at the large end. Eat.
Good to know! :)

I just thought I'd leave another comment saying I hope all is well with you. You've not posted lately (not that you have to) and I want you to know I'm thinking of you.

Y'know, I never get my eggs hard-boiled right. Your instructions are going to be very helpful. Thank you so much.

No apologies to me are necessary, but perhaps to those hard-working chickens to are continually forced to generate enough eggs for us humans. ;-)
