Saturday we walked to raise money for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. It was a 3-mile walk and we were joined by two of Aidan's aunties, one of his uncles, four of his cousins, and a good friend. As a team, we raised over $600.
Aidan, who usually refuses to be wagon-pulled, enjoyed the royal treatment and didn't walk a single step on his own. He either rode on someone's shoulders or was pulled by any one of us walkers. He also mastered some royal type wave at all the people cheering the walkers on. The Children's Champions, geared in red, got extra attention from the supporters.
It was great fun and very special because we were joined and supported by family and friends. Seems like the least we could do for a place that saved our son's life at least 4 times.
Thank you to everyone who helped, walked, or wished us well! Donations are still accepted. I think.
I read about some of the problems that children face. I wish I had more money to give to this hospital! Our family is so blessed with this happy little boy of ours. Mom
