Isn't Milwaukee beautiful? This is the Calatrava at the Milwaukee Art Museum (it has wings that open and close - see my photos below). Aidan's nursery school had a field trip to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum. There is a sort of atrium that connects from there to this bridge to the Art Museum. You can see Lake Michigan in the background.
If you get a chance to open up the picture to the right, it is a look down Wisconsin Avenue with the Christmas decorations. That big orange thing is a sculpture called "The Calling." Most of Milwaukee knows it as the big orange thing. I used to think of it as an eyesore but it has really grown on me.
Aunt Missy joined me with taking Aidan to the Betty Brinn Museum. Aidan and Antonio ran around a bit outside while Missy and I talked to Monica (Antonio's mom). Aidan had some breathing problems - something that I've noticed since he started nursery school. His cardiologist suggested he might have asthma but we were going to wait until next year to address it. After the incident outside the museum, I called his pediatrician and he prescribed an inhaler. We are going to try it out next week. :-(
After the playing and a parking lot panic at losing Monica's car, we went to lunch at Louisa's on Cathedral Square. It was a very nice day! More pictures below or here.
It was beautiful AND we had a wonderful time! That's something I can always appreciate. Love you!
