I gave this gift early. Couldn't wait! It was one of the most useful presents I have made (though I really try to only make useful stuff with a few exceptions).
I got this pattern from Anna Maria Horner. I used Amy Butler fabric - I hope that isn't a bad thing to do to Anna Maria, it was the longest cut of fabric I had on hand.
It was very easy. The most difficult thing was going to 3 different hardware stores to find the clip. The second most difficult thing was sewing on the binding. I always have trouble with that.
I used 7/8" canvas strapping. I made the binding strips 1" instead of 7/8" as the pattern suggests. Next time, I'd go even a little bigger on the strips. I'll also buy colored strapping.
The intended recipient in the blurry picture is my parent's puppy, Scarlett. She is as cute and sweet as can be.
